Intento. s.m. El fin o cosa intentada: y las mas veces significa el ánimo u designio deliberado. Lat. Intentus animas. Finis. Fr. L. de Gran. Trat. del Amor de Dios, cap.I. Porque el principal intento en este libro, ha sido formar un perfecto Christiano. Espen. Escud. Relac.I. Desc.15. Los malos intentos, al principio errados, engendran recato para los venideros.

Intentar. v.a. Tener ánimo, intento u designio de executar alguna cosa. Viene del Latino Intentare, que significa lo mismo.

Intentar. Vale tambien procurar o pretender. Lat. Intendere. Solis, Hist. de Nuev. Esp. lib.1. cap.8. Aunque Pedro de Alvarado intentaba disculparse.
